In some of these critical regions, over 90% of people live on less than US$1 per day, with limited access to sustainable economic opportunities, while shouldering the significant costs of coexisting with wildlife.

We believe those who bear the burdens of conservation should equitably share in its rewards. Our approach is twofold: we mitigate conservation challenges, such as human-wildlife conflict, and create sustainable income opportunities tied to thriving ecosystems.

By funding scholarships, supplying resources like books and desks, and co-financing local academies, we empower individuals to pursue their ambitions. Yet, challenges like habitat loss, climate change, and rural poverty threaten to push many ecosystems past a tipping point, risking irreversible decline. By creating sustainable income streams from natural assets, we fund initiatives to restore biodiversity and enhance ecosystem resilience.

Sustainability

We are dedicated to ensuring the camps and lodges we work with are sustainable and impactful. Our goal is for 100% of our booked properties to have sustainability plans that benefit both their ecosystems and communities. While no single industry-wide framework exists for African properties, we have developed our own baseline assessment based on GSTC criteria, aligned with B Corp and Travelife guidelines. This allows us to better understand each property’s footprint and offer truly responsible safaris
